Electrode steam humidifier function principle

In a steam humidifier with dipped electrodes (isothermal humidification) water is heated to boiling point inside the cylinder to produce steam. The evaporated water is automatically refilled via the water supply network.

Isothermal humidification

Water is heated to boiling point inside the steam cylinder to produce steam. Voltage is applied to the dipped electrodes, so that electrical energy flows from them through the water to produce heat.

The strength of the current is purely a factor of the properties of the feed water. The more minerals there are in the water, the higher its conductivity and therefore the faster the required quantity of steam is produced.
